Brief:
The creative foundation for the kit design stemmed from the belief that style and fashion is a sport and South African youth culture has always natured this notion by living at the intersection of street, sound, and swagger — especially during the '60s and '70s, when footballers, musicians, and style rebels alike defined what cool looked like.
This project wasn’t just about kit design — it was a cultural fusion of sport, fashion, and heritage reimagined through a modern editorial and storytelling lens. Honouring Moroka Swallows as one of South Africa’s pioneering football clubs by reinterpreting classic Swallows jerseys and the milestones they mark through the lens of 1960s–70s fashion and South African cinema. This would instantly position Drip as a bridge between sportswear and cultural fashion.
